Finnish biathlon teams for the World Cup premiere and first IBU Cups

The biathlon World Cup and IBU Cup season 2024/2025 start in less than two weeks. The Finnish national teams are now selected.

Kontiolahti, Finland, from November 30 to December 8; Idre Fjäll, Sweden, from November 28 to December 1; and Geilo, Norway, from December 4 to 7, are the places for this year’s biathlon World Cup premiere and the first IBU Cup stages, respectively. 

In a press release, the Finnish Biathlon Federation has named their biathlon teams for the World Cup premiere in Kontiolahti and the first IBU Cup stages in Idre Fjäll and Geilo.

For the World Cup, Finland named 9 athletes. On the women’s side, Finland will start with 4 biathletes. Already on the men’s side, 5 athletes will start for the Scandinavian country. For the IBU Cups, Finland named 9 athletes, 4 biathletes on the women’s and 5 on the men’s sides, plus 2 reserves in each gender
