IBU Cup: Aspenes wins sprint in Idre Fjäll
The IBU Cup season 2024/2025 started today in Idre Fjäll, Sweden, with a 10km sprint race for men. After a solid battle in the men’s event, Sverre Dahlen Aspenes won the premiere.
Sverre Dahlen Aspenes, from Norway, took first place today in the 10km men’s sprint race in Idre Fjäll with a total time of 23:20.7. The Norwegian biathlete had one shooting penalty, missing one shot on the standing shooting (0-1).
Martin Uldal, also from Norway, snagged second place, 12.5 seconds back, and one penalty on the standing shooting. The Frenchman Antonin Guigonnat completed the podium in third place, 14.0 seconds behind the winner and a clean shooting.

After Idre Fjäll, the biathlon IBU Cup heads to Norway (Geilo), then Austria (Obertilliach), Germany (Arber), Brezno-Osrblie (Slovakia), Italy (Open European Championships in Martell-Val Martello and IBU Cup in Ridnaun-Val Ridanna). Then, the 2024/2025 IBU Cup season ends with two stages in Estonia (Otepää).
