Samuelsson and Öberg lead the charge in sprint races
Samuelsson Dominates Men’s Sprint
Sebastian Samuelsson was in a league of his own in the men’s sprint, claiming victory with a commanding lead. After a challenging race the previous day, where icy tracks sparked criticism, Samuelsson silenced any doubts with a near-flawless performance. His clean prone shooting and a single miss in the standing secured him a win by nearly a minute over Jesper Nelin.
“I’m really happy with today’s race. My legs felt great, and nine hits are competitive even internationally,” Samuelsson told SVT Sport.
Jesper Nelin, despite two missed shots, finished second after a strong final lap, edging out Estonia’s Rene Zahkna, who took third. Swedish skiers rounded out the top five, with Martin Ponsiluoma in fourth and Oskar Ohlsson impressing in fifth with a career-best result.
