U.S. biathlon teams for the first trimester season 2024/2025

The 2024/2025 international biathlon season starts in less than a week. The U.S. national teams – World Cup and IBU Cup – are now named for the first trimester of season 2024/2025.

Kontiolahti, Finland, from November 30 to December 8, and Idre Fjäll, Sweden, from November 28 to December 1, are the places for this year’s biathlon World Cup and IBU Cup premieres, respectively. 

In a press release, the U.S. Biathlon has named their biathlon teams for the first trimester of the Biathlon World Cup and IBU Cup.

According to the U.S. Biathlon: “16 athletes will represent the United States on the World Cup and IBU circuits for trimester one,” and adds:

“With four start positions for women and men on both the World Cup and IBU Cup, eight athletes will travel to World Cup 1 in Kontiolahti (FIN) to begin the season on November 30, and eight athletes will head to Idre Fjäll (SWE) for IBU Cup 1, kicking things off on November 28.”
