We have rolled into the summer month of June. And for those who have the big goals for the upcoming winter, there is still plenty of time to prepare.

In the coming weeks, ProXCskiing.com will immerse in the rollerskiing world: what equipment should I have, how should I train, which competitions should I go and not least, which skis can I buy?

Earlier this week, we gave tips on how to choose rollerskis, and poles, boots, helmets, and glasses. And in addition, Vasaloppet’s runner-up Anton Karlsson gave us tips on how to develop your rollerskiing

Below, the rollerski brands present their rollerski models.

Swenor Fiberglass

“One of the market’s best-selling models. Appreciated above all for the very good vibration damping and cross-country skiing-like ride where the frame has a crucial role. The frame is made of laminated wood core and fiberglass. The forks are made of extruded aluminum, which makes them very durable. Fiberglass is available in 4 different rolling resistance, from 1 (fastest) to 4 (slowest) resistance.”

Swenor Skate Alu Long

“Skate rollerski in aluminum used by the Swedish cross-country team. Lowered profile for a lower center of gravity, which makes the rollerski more stable. The rollerski has a reasonable frame length, so it is directionally stable for a more snow-skiing feel. The aluminum frame is light so that it is easy to lift when you have finished your leg-pull and should lift the ski in again under the body. It is available in 3 different rolling resistances, from 1 that is easily rolled to 3 that is the slowest rolling resistance.”

Elpex Evolution V & X

“Elpex Evolution V is a ski designed for slightly lighter skiers up to 75kg, making it the best performance ski on the market. Evolution X is suitable for skiers up to 95kg. The composite material frame and the unique wheel suspension where the fork is molded in polyurethane give the ride a whole new dimension. You will notice that Evolution gives you more control over your ride and makes your workouts a gentler workout without vibration. Being able to train at an elite level has never been more comfortable. The wheels are available in rolling resistance 2, 3, and 4.”

Elpex Wasa 610

“This is the ski that is sold in most copies worldwide and has roots back to the 1980s. Wasa 610 is the ski that is perfect for the beginner; with the wider wheels, you get stability that makes the beginner feel relaxed and safe. The ski frame is made of aluminum with a nice fold. Wasa 610 is suitable for recreational and elite skiers and is very much appreciated by both old and young. Wheels for the Wasa 610 are available with both standard and slow rolling resistance.”

AE Classic

“Stable rollerskis with a lot of comfort. AE Classic is the rollerski for you who want a pair of comfortable rollerskis even on worse roads. AE’s slightly flatter wheels provide a stable rollerski and a comfortable vibration damping. Much appreciated among skiers. Comes with 2, 4 and 2/4 (type 3) wheels. AE rollerskis is one of the oldest rollerski manufacturers in Sweden. The key word is quality, and it is achieved by virtually all products being manufactured in Sweden with quality components.”

AE Nordic

“The rollerskis with extra, extra slow wheels (resistance 5). AE Nordic is a rollerski for you who want to go diagonal/go on a session or just have really slow rollerskis to double pole. The speed is slower, which suits the diagonal style. The snow-like rolling resistance also holds back the speed on downhills. The bindings are mounted extra far back to give diagonal a ski-like as possible.”

IDT Classic

“IDT Classic is the only rollerski on the market with a directional stability guarantee. All rollerskis from IDT are produced in Norway in our factory, where all development and testing is also carried out. Used by all national teams in Norway, Germany, and Italy.

IDT Skate Elite

“IDT Skate Elite is the only rollerski on the market that makes the transition to snow even easier and helps you with real technology during the summer. With the unique length and profile structure, the skiing will be experienced as incredibly ski-like and “force” you into real technique.”

Aukland Legend

“Much of the groundwork for the Aukland brothers’ success has been done on rollerskis. Aukland Legend Classic results from our experiences and wishes about what a rollerski should be like. The length, the material choice, the components, and the binding location make this a unique rollerski,” writes the Aukland brothers. “We believe this is the perfect rollerski for everyone from beginners to elite skiers. Especially you who intend to start in long-distance will have a lot of fun with the skis. Aukland Legend Classic is developed primarily for double poling but works well for kick-double pole and diagonal striding. We use specially adapted components from Swenor that have delivered quality products since we started rollerskiing in the early 1980s.”

FF V Pro Classic

“Our flagship model is now available in a new design! FF V Pro Classic is an innovative and high-tech rollerski for those who want to become a better skier. FF V-Pro Classic is our flagship model but is equally suitable for both professionals and beginners because it recreates the right technique and that good skiing feeling you get on real cross-country skis. Our innovative V-groove wheel has a profile that mimics cross-country skiing. This ensures you get superior directional stability and a more ski-like feeling and technique. The unique profile and the rounded corners mean that you also get a much better diagonal stride and also allow higher speeds in sharp turns, which gives you more confidence.”

Marwe 610A

“The Marwe 610A is the standard competition ski used at the IBU biathlon summer world championships, national & international rollerski competitions, and world cup races. It is a fast and agile skating style ski, suitable for even high-paced agility training. The ski offers excellent wet grip and vibration damping properties, even for an aluminum rollerski. It is also suitable for treadmill testing and training exercises. For these reasons, the 610A is our most popular and most sold ski model.”

Marwe 700XC

“The perfect choice when you want to experience the classic sensation and real thing -but without snow! The 700XCs stable, lightweight, and flexible composite frame minimizes road vibrations for a smooth ride and flexes underfoot like a cross-country ski. Due to this, it is the ideal companion for beginners to start their classic style rollerskiing hobby easily and safely. It is also the favorite ski for pro athletes for double poling exercises.”

Rundle Rush Pro Skate

“Hard to find in Europe, Rundle Rush Pro Skate rollerskis are made in Canada and are the preferred skate rollerski of Canada’s fastest skiers. Rush Pro Skate have a 700mm wheelbase and are designed for the expert skier who focuses on technique. Short aluminum forks are bolted to the end of each frame to lower the roller ski geometry, and the frame has a non-rectangular shape to improve ground clearance when skate skiing. The standard #2 wheels have a secondary bearing shield to maximize reliability.”

Nordeex SF610

“Maybe it’s time to switch to French know-how? We are not afraid to say it; we have the best skating rollerski in the world. Why? We create our own rollerski from A to Z in France in collaboration with the athletes, who are unanimous: they will never change their rollerski again! We are proud of our work and want to share our expertise with you. So don’t hesitate and join the Nordeex’s family!”

Nordeex SF700

“Have you ever wanted to feel like you were on classic tracks all year round? We have the means to make that dream come true! Our rollerski dedicated to double poling will never take you off course! Rigid and directional, you will find the pleasure of pushing in summer! We have in our possession the only rollerski that does not deviate, and it is the roller ski you deserve! We look forward to seeing you on the road with our rollerski on. We look forward to welcoming you to the Nordeex’s family!

Kästle RS10 Skate

“The RS10 Skate generates natural rebound thanks to its high-quality frame made of lightweight wood with robust sandwich-sidewall construction. The wood core absorbs vibrations from the road or trail, while the carbon and fiberglass layers lend it good rigidity. The aluminum fork design, high-quality bearings, and soft, solid rubber of the wheels result in a very smooth ride and natural resistance. This is a performance rollerski for keen skate-style skiers up to 100 kg, looking for an easy way to train during the summer months.”
