Event Description

The prologue is run as a downhill race on cross-country skis from the edge of Calf mountain down to the village. The ten fastest in each youth class qualify for a ski cross final which is run on a technical course. Two semi-finals with five starters in each, the 1st and 2nd from each heat progress to the final where the winner in each youth class is crowned. The winners in the respective ski cross finals in the classes D/H 9-10 to D/H 15-16 go on to the challenge, where they get to meet a world star.
The challenge is run with a men’s and a women’s final, where time handicaps also give the youngest the chance to defeat their idol.
In classes H 17-18, H 19-, D 17-18 and D 19-, the five fastest qualify directly for the ski cross final.
Knattemix 0-8 years and the exercisers only run the downhill race, no ski cross.
