Event Description

Ganghoferlauf entered last year for the first time the Visma Ski Classics Challengers series with two long distance races and will this year be able to host the event as a Challengers event for the first time. March 5th and 6th, 2022 Leutasch will host the 51st edition of Austria’s oldest cross-country skiing race. Ganghoferlauf is a two-day event and attracts around 2,000 skiers every year.

Each long distances of both techniques – 50 km in classic and 42 km in skating technique – are part of the Ski Classics Challengers ranking. The race is well placed in the impressive, snow-assured Leutasch valley which is located between Wetterstein mountain range and Hohe Munde.
