Event Description
Tjejvasan is a 30km long-distance skiing event with only female skiers at the starting line. The event was first held in Sweden in 1988 and now joins the Ski Classics Challengers calendar for the upcoming edition on February 24, 2024.
The Ski Classics Challengers series was launched in 2019, after Season IX, to connect and promote long-distance skiing events worldwide. Tjejvasan represents a milestone for the project entering Ski Classics Challengers series as event number 50.
Celebrating the 37th edition this winter, Tjejvasan is considered the world’s biggest ski race only for women. The race starts in Oxberg and finishes in Mora – the same as Vasaloppet.
Tjejvasan is part of Vasaloppet’s Winter Week 2024. It offers several competitions, including Vasaloppet, part of the Ski Classics Pro Tour, and Tjejvasan, part of the Ski Classics Challengers calendar.
