Event Description
Ugra Ski Marathon is held since 2013. It is organized by the Government of Ugra and Ugra Ski Federation. The general partner of the event is Bank “Otkritie”.
Every year Ugra Ski Marathon attracts more than 2000 ski fans and professional athletes including Olympic and world champions.
The marathon aims to popularize sport and healthy lifestyle, to attract more people of different ages and nationalities to ski sport, to put together on one ski track friends and competitors and, of course, to define the strongest marathon skier.
Over the years, such well-known athletes as the only two-time winner of the title “the King of Skis” in history Petter Northug of Norway, World Cup total winner Alexander Bolshunov, Olympic champions Svetlana Sleptsova, Yevgeny Dementiev, Alexander Legkov from Russia, the leaders of Worldloppet Cup Toni Livers and Seraina Boner from Switzerland, Aurélie Dabuduk from France, members of the Russian cross-country skiing team Maria Gushchina, Anton Gafarov and others took part in the race.
On April-9-2022 at 11:00 a.m. (GMT +5) Khanty-Mansiysk will host the IX Ugra Ski Marathon.
