Three Pro Team, Team Ragde Eiendom, Team Nordic Athlete and Team ES Endurance, have prepared in Livigno ahead of the Season XI start. Heavy snowfall in the area means that the Pro teams have to take a detour to Zuoz, Switzerland and Engadin La Diagonela.

Due to the heavy snowfall, there is limited access to the Engadin valley, and based on the forecast, there is a considerable risk that it will continue to be difficult to arrive at the valley.
The road from Livigno through the tunnel and “Ofenpass” to Zernez is closed and will probably not reopened until late Friday evening, eventually even closed on Saturday. Access from Livigno is at the moment is only possible over Bormio/Tirano/Berninapass.

“Today, it has probably fallen about 40 centimeters of snow, and the snowfall continues. That we have to take a detour that takes a few extra hours does not bother us that much, though. We move and stay in Zuoz from Friday, says Magnar Dalen, Team Ragde Eiendom Pro Team Director.

How has the pre-camp been in Livigno?
“It has been cold but nice conditions here. All athletes are healthy and really looking forward to the start of the season,” says Dalen.
“The weather forecast speaks of sunny weather on Saturday. I think there will be lovely TV pictures for all fans of Visma Ski Classics. The athletes are eager to get started with the competitions. It will be an exciting race on Saturday, Dalen continues.
