All you need to know ahead of the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon and La Venosta ITT Kapron-Melago
3 ZINNEN SKI MARATHON
On Saturday, January 11, the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon kicks-off 2025 and takes center stage as the third Pro Tour event of Season XVI.
Following the resounding success of the previous season and earning a prestigious top 2 spot at the coveted ‘Event of the Season’ award, the 60-kilometer long-distance race once again secures its place within the Ski Classics Pro Tour.
Self-titled the longest and hardest ski race amidst the stunning Drei Zinnen Dolomites (Three Peaks in the Dolomites), the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon promises, for another year, a challenging course combined with breathtaking scenery.
Dolomites
Captivating spectators and athletes alike, the Dolomites proudly hold the status of a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for their stunning beauty and ranking amongst the world’s most enchanting mountain landscapes.
The allure of these majestic peaks lies in their distinct vertical formations, ranging from striking pinnacles and towers to spires, all harmoniously neighboring a backdrop of horizontal surfaces, including ledges, crags, and plateaus. The Dolomites create a captivating spectacle by rising abruptly above expansive talus deposits and gentle foothills.
For the third event of Season XVI, expect many thrilling battles on the tracks and some splendid drama as the Pro Team athletes fight for glory in early January.
