Åsarna Ski Marathon Takes Place on Saturday

by Leandro Lutz • 10.02.2022
The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Åsarna Ski Marathon is a 45km long-distance race in classic technique this Saturday, February 12, in Åsarna, Sweden.

Åsarna Ski Marathon takes place for the 14th time in 2022, and the 45km course is presented in one big loop, leading through true Swedish wilderness.

The start is near Åsarna old Church, and the finish is a little further south at Åsarna Ski Stadium. Throughout the course, there will be four feed stations. Good to remember that the competition is also a seeding race for Vasaloppet and Tjejvasan.

Legendary Thomas Wassberg, a former Swedish cross-country skier, is Chief of Course, guaranteeing well-prepared and groomed tracks.

Åsarna town is located 70km south of Östersund, and the Organization Committee welcomes Pro Tour athletes and recreational skiers to visit a small village with a long ski history.
