Yesterday, heavy winds canceled the sprint race at the Norwegian Ski Season premiere in Beitostølen. This morning, the gusty winds calmed down so that the women’s 10 km classic race was able to take place. Team Koteng Eidissen’s athlete Astrid Øyre Slind showed great form by finishing 7th in the race that had all the best Norwegian skiers. She was 1.46 minutes behind the winner Therese Johaug and only 27 seconds from the third place that was taken by Silje Theodorsen. Heidi Weng was second about 44 seconds behind the winner. Team XPND Fuel’s Emilie Fleten was 22nd and her gap to Johaug was 2.46 minutes. The men’s 15 km race will start soon.
