by Leandro Lutz • 05.04.2022
The Visma Ski Classics Challengers event Blåvegenløpet is a 45km long-distance race in classic technique this Saturday, April 9, in Mo I Rana, Norway.

Blåvegenløpet history goes back to 1979, and the course stretches from Umbukta to Brennåsen outside Mo I Rana city. Since 1979, approximately 1000-1500 skiers have participated in the event every year.

Blåvegenløpet has three distances, 10, 26, and 45km, and gathers all from families and recreational skiers to Pro Tour athletes to one big ski event.

The main racecourse follows the Blue road (E12), which connects Norway to Sweden. The start in Umbukta is only 3km from the Swedish border, and the finish line is just outside Mo I Rana.
