Today, Sunday, August 20, it’s time for Ushuaia Loppet. The Ski Classics Challengers event is a 42-kilometer classic technique race in Ushuaia, Argentina.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Ushuaia Loppet will see an exciting battle today in the Southernmost city in the World, Ushuaia.

Ushuaia Loppet is a long-distance skiing race in the world’s southernmost city: Ushuaia, Argentina.

The Ski Classics Challengers event consists of a 42km long-distance race in classic technique through the most important winter centers in the region:

  • Cerro Castor alpine area
  • Ushuaia Blanca
  • Las Cotorras
  • Llanos del Castor
  • The start/finish area at the Centro Invernal Tierra Mayor

In addition to the main event, there is a shorter distance race, the Marchablanca, a 21km classic event on the same date and organized by the Club Andino Ushuaia as a popular citizen’s race.

Ushuaia Loppet – Facts

As Ushuaia Loppet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender. 

A list of Ski Classics Challengers events with confirmed dates for season 2023/2024 can be found at Ski Classics. The list is updated continuously with new events.

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour, or Challengers events, professional and recreational skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when subscribing to Ski Classics online community proxcskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you collect points according to your performance and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.

One of the central features of MyPages is that you get your global SC ranking. The SC Ranking is a live updated international ranking, unique in combining women and men, professional and recreational skiers in one single list.
