Changes In Ski Classics Standings After Birkebeinerrennet

Birkebeinerrennet marked the twelfth Ski Classics Pro Tour event and the fourth and final Grand Classics Season XIV. After the weekend, these are the rankings, bib-holders and changes in various overall competitions.

On Saturday, Birkebeinerrennet saw Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, and Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, winning the twelfth event of Ski Classics and fourth and final Grand Classics Season XIV.

CHAMPION COMPETITION

When we look at the Ski Classics general classification after Birkebeinerrennet, the Yellow Champion Bib Competition belongs to Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Ida Dahl, Team Engcon.

In the men’s battle for overall, the Yellow bib rests on Emil Persson’s shoulders. Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, leads the Champion competition with 2322 points after Birkebeinerrennet. 

Second place overall is now Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, with 1443 points, closely followed by Max Novak, Team Aker Dæhlie, with 1418.

In the women’s overall, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, is in the lead with a total of 2105 points, followed by Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, with 2050 points and only 55 behind the leader. 

Third place overall is Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, with 1833 points.


SPRINT COMPETITION

After no Sprint checkpoints this weekend at Birkebeinerrennet, Alfred Buskqvist, Team Ramudden, carries the Green bib of the men’s Sprint competition with 246 points.

Vebjørn Moen, Team Aker Dæhlie, is the second place with 208 points, and Lorenzo Busin, Team Internorm Alpenplus Trentino, keeps the third position with 114 points.


After Birkebeinerrennet with no Sprint checkpoints, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, keeps the Green bib with 190 points. Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Ragde Charge, is in second place with 187 points, and Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, is in third place with 185 points. 


CLIMB COMPETITION

After two Climb checkpoints this weekend at Birkebeinerrennet, including Raudfjellet Iconic Climb, Johan Hoel, Team Ragde Charge, with 227 points, and Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, with 374 points, are carrying the bib in the Climb Competition.

On the men’s side, Johan Hoel, Team Ragde Charge, now leads the Climb competition with 227 points. Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, is in second place with 202 points, followed by Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, in third place, with 117 points.

In the women’s Climb competition, Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, leads with 374 points. Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, is in second place with 215 points, followed by Astrid Øyre Slind, Team Aker Dæhlie, in third with 196 points.

YOUTH COMPETITION

The Pink bibs in the Youth Competition are resting on the shoulders of Amund Riege, Team Ramudden, and Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, with 1331 and 1451 points, respectively.

Amund Riege, Team Ramudden, is leading with 1331 points. Petter Stakston, Team Aker Dæhlie, is in second place with 1224 points, and Herman Paus, Team Ramudden, with 1053 points, is in third place for the Youth bib overall. 


Karolina Hedenström, Lager 157 Ski Team, is leading with 1451 points. Hanna Lodin, Ski Team Göhlins, is now in second place with 804 points, followed by Ida Palmberg, Team Ramudden, in third place for the Pink bib with 774 points.


PRO TEAM COMPETITION

Lager 157 Ski Team is leading the Pro Team Competition with 1960 points. Second place is now Team Aker Dæhlie, with 1930 points.

Team Ramudden sits in third place overall with 1885 points after Birkebeinerrennet. 


GRAND CLASSICS

The Grand Classics events are the four largest and most prestigious in Ski Classics: Marcialonga, Jizerská50, Vasaloppet, and Birkebeinerrennet.

After Birkebeinerrennet, the fourth and final Grand Classics Season XIV, Andreas Nygaard, Team Ragde Charge, won the men’s Grand Classics overall with 1035 points. Second place went to Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, with 822 points, followed by Kasper Stadaas, Team Ragde Charge, in third place with 712 points.


In the women’s competition, Magni Smedås, Team Eksjöhus, won the Grand Classics overall with 1020 points. Ida Dahl, Team Engcon, followed in second place with 855 points. Emilie Fleten, Team Ramudden, with 675 points, finished in third position.

Next up is Reistadløpet on April 1 and Summit 2 Senja on April 2. The events mark the 13th and 14th Ski Classics stages and the final weekend of Season XIV.

The Season XIV of Ski Classics Pro Tour consists of 14 events on 10 event weekends in 6 different countries.
