Christian Lorenzi And Emilie Jeantet Winners of Marcia Gran Paradiso

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Marcia Gran Paradiso, took place this Sunday with a 40km long-distance race in classic technique in Cogne, Italy.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Italy saw Christian Lorenzi, Team Internorm Alpenplus Trentino, and Emilie Jeantet, Centro Sportivo Esercito, winning the race with solid performances.

Marcia Gran Paradiso – Men’s Race

In the men’s race, the winner Christian Lorenzi, Team Internorm Alpenplus Trentino, completed the race in a time of 1:50:58.0.

Stefano Mich, Team Futura Trentino Dolomiten Trauma Clinic, finished in second place, with a total time of 1:51:00.8, followed by Nathan Jouannon, Team FFLD, completing the podium in the third position and a total time of 1:51:14.3.

Marcia Gran Paradiso – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, the winner was Emilie Jeantet, Centro Sportivo Esercito, with a total time of 2:09:19.9.

Chiara Caminada, Team Robinson Trentino, finished in second place, with a time of 2:11:23.7, followed by Beatrice Bastrentaz, Sci Club Mont Nery ASD, with a total time of 2:11:53.1, and completing the podium in the third position.

  1. Emilie Jeantet, Centro Sportivo Esercito, 2:09:19.9
  2. Chiara Caminada, Team Robinson Trentino, +2:03.8
  3. Beatrice Bastrentaz, Sci Club Mont Nery ASD, +2:33.2

As Marcia Gran Paradiso is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
