ELIASSEN KEEPS THE LEAD IN THE SC RANKING AFTER VASALOPPET

Petter Eliassen, Team Ragde Eiendom, keeps his first position in the SC ranking, the global ranking system for long distance skiers, after Vasaloppet. Eliassen is followed by the Vasaloppet winners Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel of Norway, and Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden. Gjerdalen keeps his second place, and Korsgren steps up from fifth to the third position.

Eliassen lost some points after finishing 37th at Vasaloppet but keeps the lead with 29,505,481 points. Gjerdalen has 29,385,636 in second place, and Korsgren has 29,057,052 in the third position.

Three athletes are moving up among the top ten athletes. Oskar Kardin, Team Ragde Eiendom, from sixth to fifth place, Øyvind Moen Fjeld, Lager 157 Ski Team, from tenth tog to eight and Vetle Thyli, Team Kaffebryggeriet, from twelfth to tenth.

Notable in the top 20 is that Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, climbs from 20th to 15th place after finishing third in Vasaloppet. Alexis Jeannerod, Team Decathlon Experiénce moves in top 20, rising from 22nd to 16th place after his 23rd place at Vasaloppet. Magnus Vesterheim, Team Kaffebryggeriet, goes from 21th to 20th place after his 14th place at Vasaloppet.

Athletes among the top 50 taking big steps after Vasaloppet is Emilie Fleten, Team Koteng. Fleten goes from 31th to 23rd after her sixth-place this Sunday. Ermil Vokuev, Russian Winter Team, third at Vasaloppet, goes from 45th to 34th place. His teammate Maxim Vylegshanin goes from 53rd to 46th place after finishing in eighth place at Vasaloppet.

If we look in the ranking list, between 50 and 100, some athletes move up ten positions or more. Thea Krokan Murud, Team Kaffebryggeriet (76-66), Arnaud Du Pasquier, Team Féclaz Formation (87-77), Andri Schlittler, Team BSV IBEX (91-81), Alexey Shemiakin, Russian Winter Team (98-85), Matis Leray, Team Robinson Trentino (107-94), Florian Capello, Team Robinson Trentino (110-96), Anikken Gjerde Alnæs, Team Ragde Eiendom (111-97), Lauro Brändli, Team BSV IBEX (109-99) and Klára Moravcová, Slavia Pojistovna Sport Team (117-100).

Outside top 100, Johan Hoel, Team Nordic Athlete, takes a giant leap from 334th to 186th place in his first appearance in the Team Nordic Athlete race suit at Vasaloppet, finishing in sixth place. Attending the rest of the Visma Nordic Trophy events will bring Hoel quickly up in the SC Ranking.

The SC Ranking is open for all participants in all Visma Ski Classics event, Pro Tour and Challengers. The SC ranking is open for both professional and recreational skiers, including all age groups, gender, and performance levels.
