The Ski Classics Challengers event, Vasaloppet China, took place this Thursday with a 50km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Changchun, China. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in China, Vasaloppet China, saw a fierce battle for all the podium places. Ultimately, Fabián Štoček, Vltava Fund Ski Team, and Zhao Xinle, China, won their respective races with solid performances.

Vasaloppet China – Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner Fabián Štoček, Vltava Fund Ski Team, completed the race in a time of 2:16:18.

Thomas Bing, eD system Silvini Team, finished in second place, 0.1 seconds behind, followed by Christian Winker, Terrex XC Ski Team, completing the podium in third position and 3:35 back.

Vasaloppet China – Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Zhao Xinle, from China, with a total time of 2:51:35.

Sigrid Bye, from Norway, finished in second place, 2:42 back, followed by Mariya Lyuft, from Kazakhstan Cross-Country Team, 3:10 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  2. Sigrid Bye (NOR), +0:02:42

As Vasaloppet China is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
