Sunday, March 24, 2024, it’s time for Flyktningerennet. The Ski Classics Challengers event is a 44-kilometer classic technique race and brings Pro Tour athletes and recreational long-distance cross-country skiers to the start line on the border of Norway and Sweden.

The Ski Classics Challengers event Flyktningerennet will see an exciting battle this morning on the Norway-Sweden border from Nordli to Gäddede.

Flyktningerennet – Ski Classics Challengers

Flyktningerennet is a long-distance skiing race in classic technique held annually, with a history going back to 1950 when the first race, also called Flyktningloppet in Sweden, took place to honor and remember the refugees escaping across the border from Norway to Sweden during World War II.

According to the Local Organizing Committee, Flyktningerennet is ready to take place this weekend and promises to be an exciting event. Some of the best Pro Tour skiers will be on the starting line.

The 44km race is a Ski Classics Challengers event, and Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders. 

Everyone participating in Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, recreational and professional skiers, can connect their profile to the results database of Ski Classics, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when subscribing to Ski Classics online community proxcskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, and analyze your results with friends in the SC ranking system. In your profile, you collect points according to your performance and are rewarded with pins and diplomas.

One of the central features of MyPages is that you get your global SC ranking. The SC Ranking is a live updated international ranking, unique in combining women and men, professional and recreational skiers in one single list.
