Tanumsloppet, a Ski Classics Challengers event, took place this Saturday, with a 40km roller ski race in classic technique in Tanumshede, Sweden. Get to know the results.

Tanumsloppet, a Ski Classics Challengers event, took place this Saturday, with a 40km roller ski race in classic technique in Tanumshede, Sweden. Get to know the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event Tanumsloppet saw Thomas Gifstad, Team Robinson Trentino, and Linn Sömskar, IFK Umeå, winning their respective races.

Tanumsloppet – Men’s Race

In the men’s race, the winner was Thomas Gifstad, Team Robinson Trentino, completing the race in a time of 1:34:20.0.

Amund Korsæth, Trösken/Team Elon Oslofjord, finished in second place, 3.0 seconds back, followed by Johannes Eklöf, Ski Team Göhlins/IF Hallby SOK, completing the podium in the third position and 9.0 seconds behind the winner.

Tanumsloppet – Top 5 Men

  1. Thomas Gifstad, Team Robinson Trentino, 1:34:20.0
  2. Amund Korsæth, Trösken/Team Elon Oslofjord, +3.0
  3. Johannes Eklöf, Ski Team Göhlins/IF Hallby SOK, +9.0
  4. Patrick Fossum Kristoffersen, Team Robinson Trentino, +21.0
  5. Wictor Magnusson Broder, Nybro SKI, +1:05.0

Tanumsloppet – Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, Linn Sömskar, IFK Umeå, won with a total time of 1:45:01.0. 

Hilda Löf, Ski Team Göhlins/XC Sthlm Ski Club, finished in second place, 4:18.0 back, followed by Madelene Melin, Malungs IF Skidor, 25:14.0 behind the winner, and completing the podium in the third position. 

Tanumsloppet – Top 3 Women

  1. Linn Sömskar, IFK Umeå, 1:45:01.0
  2. Hilda Löf, Ski Team Göhlins/XC Sthlm Ski Club, +4:18.0
  3. Madelene Melin, Malungs IF Skidor, +25:14.0

As Tanumsloppet is a Ski Classics Challengers event, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
