How much did Ski Classics Pro Team athletes earn in prize money?
The Norwegian Pro Team athlete dominated Ski Classics Season XV and took in the most prize money of all the long-distance skiers this season.Â
After 14 Pro Tour events in Season XV, Emilie Fleten has earned EUR 87.080 in prize money.
The 31-year-old from Team Ramudden has been on the podium in every Ski Classics Pro Tour event this season, winning seven of them. She has won all the competition bibs but the Youth bib, for which she is out of the age group. Furthermore, she is now a Ski Classics Legend and has been promoted to the Ski Classics Hall of Fame.

Behind Fleten, Magni SmedĂĽs and Kati Roivas followed on the women’s side. The teammates from Team EksjĂśhus took home EUR 34.640 and EUR 28.710 in prize money, respectively.

Prize money for the men
The overall winner in the men’s side, Johan Hoel, Team Ragde Charge, earned EUR 53.230 in prize money. The 29-year-old Norwegian had won one Ski Classics race and been on the podium in another six.
Teammate Kasper Stadaas earned the second most. After four wins and two-second places during the winter, the man who held the Yellow leader’s bib until the penultimate weekend took home EUR 36.000 in prize money.
Andreas Nygaard, also from Team Ragde Charge, finished third in the men’s side. A period of injury in the middle of the winter ruined much of the season for the Ski Classics Legend, who had a total of three wins, one-second place, and EUR 26.991 in prize money for the season.

The Sprint and Climb bib winners received EUR 6.600 for their achievement, plus any prize money for their results in the various events.
In the women’s class, Emilie Fleten won both, and the sum of this is included in her total prize money for the season. In the men’s class, the overall winner was Johan Hoel, who also took the Climb bib competition, while Amund Hoel, Team Engcon, took the Sprint bib. Prize money is also awarded to second and third places in these competitions.
The winners of the Youth bibs, Thomas Ădegaarden, Team EksjĂśhus, and Karolina HedenstrĂśm, Lager 157 Ski Team, earned EUR 2.000 each.

Norway is the top nation
Regarding the distribution of prize money between the nations, the Norwegian Pro Team athletes came out on top in both the women’s and men’s classes. They took home EUR 342.335 of the total prize pool. Sweden, in second place, took EUR 109.209.

How the prize money is distributed
Prize money is awarded to the top five women and men in the Ski Classics Champion overall competition (Yellow Champion bib), the top three in the Climb competition (Climb bib) and Sprint competition (Green Sprint bib), and the top woman and man in the Youth competition (Pink Youth bib). In the Pro Team competition, the seven best teams in total for the season are rewarded.
In total, Ski Classics has awarded 200.000 euros in prize money to the overall winners, bib winners, and the best Pro Teams of the Season XV.
In addition, prize money is awarded in each race. For most races, the winner receives 5.000 euros, the second place receives between 2.000 and 3.000 euros, and the third place receives 1.200 to 1.300 euros. In ITT events, the top three received 2.500, 1.000, and 600 euros, respectively.
The four Grand Classics have larger cash prizes, with Vasaloppet having the largest cash prizes. The winner received EUR 8.900. In total, almost EUR 302.000 in prize money has been distributed by the organizers of the 14 Pro Tour events in Ski Classics Season XV.
