The three Italian Pro Teams of the Visma Ski Classics circuit achieved good results at this Sunday’s edition of Marcialonga Running, in the picturesque region of the Dolomites. Both Team Sottozero Trentino Zorzi Max and Team Robinson Trentino directors feel confident about the shape of their athletes for the upcoming season.

The summer version of the famous Italian race Marcialonga was held this Sunday, in a very scenic 26 kilometer long course through the Dolomites in the Trentino Region. The race starts in Moena, Val di Fassa, at an elevation of 1165 meters and finishes in Cavalese, Val di Fiemme, at an elevation of 983 meters above sea level.

This year’s edition had the participation of the three Italian Visma Ski Classics Pro Teams: Team Robinson Trentino Team; Sottozero Trentino Zorzi Max Team and Team Futura Trentino Alta Quota. Some of these teams’ athletes managed to get top positions, both in the full distance race and in the mixed relay race, despite the high level of the competition where the Kenyan runners took the first places.

The best qualified long-distance skier was Sottozero’s Pro Team athlete Lorenzo Busin, who finished in the 14th position, 13 minutes behind the winner. Michele Pasqualotto is happy with his new team athlete. “We are very happy with the performance of Lorenzo Busin. He is a good runner and also a good biker. I spoke to him after the race today and felt that he was proud of his performance”.

Then, Team Robinson Trainer’s Mathias Schwingshackl finished in the 17th position, 16 minutes behind the winner, and Thomas Rinners finished in the 32nd position, 21 minutes behind the winner. Team Robinson Trentino’s Director Bruno Debertolis is happy with this result.

“The temperatures were really good for a great running race. We managed to get some top positions and we are happy about it. The podium classifications were conquered by African professional runners that compete in another level. But what is great is being able to see a normal race with lots of people cheering as usual in Val di Fiemme and Marcialonga events after so many months without public due to Covid-19.”

Bruno Debertolis is also very happy with the classification his team achieved in the mixed relay race, managing to finish in the 3rd position.

Also, Team Futura Trentino Alta Quota was represented with three athletes, and Stefano Mich finished the race in the 27thposition, 19 minutes behind the winner. In the relay race, Team Futura finished in the 5th position.
