Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, had the chance to win the Champion competition for the sixth season in a row in Season XI. The frostbites she suffered in the first race of the season, Engadin La Diagonela, put an end to that possibility.
Now 38-year-old Johansson Norgren is hungry for revenge.
“I actually feel more motivated now than before,” Johansson Norgren says to the Swedish TV channel SVT.

“I had a year where I started the season well before Visma Ski Classics started and had done a good training job. But then it became a really boring season with my frostbite injuries. I’m full of revenge,” Johansson Norgren continues.

Britta tells SVT that she is eager to start the summer training.
“It may not be the first thing you think when a season ends, that you want to go out and double pole on roller skis for five hours. But I’m very motivated to do the job, and when you have such a bad season, you also get a lot of time for thoughts and reflections on what you want to do better. It gives me the motivation to do those things better.

Despite many seasons as a skier, Britta still sees great opportunities to develop further.
“I feel that I have so much left to do and have never felt that I’m close to my maximum capacity and then it has still gone quite well,” she says to SVT.

Johansson Norgren also talks about her favorite races.
“I have always liked the races in Italy very much. Marcialonga stands out, and I think it’s a really cool race to go. I hope we come back and have some spectators next year because that’s what’s great about these races in Europe. Then Vasaloppet is, of course, unique, and it’s the same thing there; you want the festival feeling. I hope we can get a little away from the pandemic.
