The men’s elite class started 15 minutes later. At the same time, there was an exuberant southern atmosphere in the finish area, with satisfied participants reporting that ‘Skarverennstraseen’ was like a dance floor. “It was magical on the trail and the best trip we’ve ever had!”

Skarverennet Queen Therese Johaug won the women’s class for the eleventh time, and this year she also had the lead from the start. We congratulate her on a phenomenal career and an excellent finish today at Norway’s biggest ski race!

Skarverennet, with its 37km long course, runs along the foothills of Hallingskarvet from Finse to Ustaoset and is arranged by Geilo IL. This year’s race is the 49th in a row. Each year the race represents a worthy period for the ski season for both elite skiers and exercisers. Thanks to our 1.100 volunteers, it provides the foundation for a fantastic overall experience.
