The ever-active Visma Ski Classics Ranking continues taking place even if the winter season is far behind us. The upcoming Summer Challenger roller-ski races will certainly bring in more points to some Pro Team athletes and other skiers as well.

Indeed, anyone can join the ranking by registering on My Pages and creating a profile. Once that has been done, all one needs to do is to participate in various races under the banner of Visma Ski Classics, be it Pro Tour or Challenger events. The great thing about the ranking is the fact that both men and women are on the list competing against each other.

This dry-land season offers a good chance to boost up your profile and get more points as there are five great roller-ski events in the calendar; Alliansloppet in Sweden on August 28, Ring Frei in Austria on August 29, Värnamorullen in Sweden on September 4, Lake Saimaa Roller-ski Marathon in Finland on September 11-12 and Klarälvsloppet in Sweden on September 19. You can learn more about these events on our site and by listening to our upcoming podcast.

The Visma Ski Classics Ranking used to count each athlete’s 15 races within two years, 24 months, but due to the restrictions that the global pandemic has forced upon us, the total number has been changed to 12.

Therefore, the Champions of the last season Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, and Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, are now fighting for the number one spot, and the former is the reigning queen as we speak.

Right after these two splendid athletes, we can find many familiar names. This year’s Vasaloppet winner Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel of Norway, is third while his former teammates Andreas Nygaard and Oskar Kardin are right behind him, respectively.

These two Team Ragde Charge athletes are followed by Morten Eide Pedersen, who now represents a new team, Team Eksjöhus, run by Oskar Svärd, a three-time Vasaloppet winner. The second best female Pro Team athlete is Emilie Fleten, who transferred from Team Koteng to Gjerdalen’s squad.
