Korsgren Still On Top Of SC Ranking After La Venosta Time Trial

Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden, keeps her first position in the SC Ranking, the global ranking system for long-distance skiers, after La Venosta Time Trial last Saturday.

Korsgren now has 25,118,872 points after finishing third in the weekend’s race.

Tord Asle Gjerdalen, Team XPND Fuel, moved from third to second overall after his Time Trial win and has 24,675,579 points. Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, who was second before the weekend, now is in the third position with 24,469,370 points. 

Saturday’s women’s winner, Britta Johansson Norgren, Lager 157 Ski Team, moved from the 16th to the 13th position, with 22,846,245 points.

Moving up among the top 6 athletes is Morten Eide Pedersen, Team Eksjöhus, from 7th to 5th place, with 23,771,875 points, and Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, from 9th to 6th place, with 23,747,879 points. 

Notable in the top 20 is that Anders Aukland, Team Ragde Charge, continues to climb. The legend goes from 20th to 18th place. Magnus Vesterheim, Team Kaffebryggeriet, fifth at La Venosta Time Trial, rise from 22nd to 17th.

Athletes stepping up in the top 50: Gabriel Höjlind, Team Engcon (from 46 to 41); Olga Tsareva, Russian Winter Team (from 49 to 42); Thomas Ødegaarden, Team XPND Fuel (from 53 to 45); Théo Deswazière, Team Nordic Experience (from 56 to 46) and Laila Kveli, Team Engcon (from 54 to 49).

Some athletes move up ten positions or more if we look in the 50-100 ranking list. Johal Hoel, Team Ragde Charge (from 85 to 73); Thomas Joly, Team Nordic Experience (from 95 to 76); Stefano Mich, Team Futura Trentino Alta Quota (from 88 to 78); Christian Lorenzi, Team Internorm – Trentino – Zorzi Max by S.Z. (from 91 to 80); Torgeir Sulen Hovland, Team Engcon (from 101 to 90); Eddie Edström, Lager 157 Ski Team (from 107 to 94); Amund Riege, Team Rustad IL Oslo (from 117 to 96) and Antoine Tarantola, Team Nordic Experience (form 115 to 97).

Everyone participating in Visma Ski Classics, Pro Tour or Challengers events, recreational and Pro Tour skiers can connect their profile to the Visma Ski Classics results database, called MyPages.

MyPages can be connected when registering as a member to Visma Ski Classics online community ProXCskiing.com. In the profile, you can view your Visma Ski Classics event results, collect pins, print diplomas, analyze your results with friends in the SC Ranking system and collect Bonus Rewards to use in Visma Ski Classics shop. You collect points according to your performances and are rewarded with pins and diplomas in your profile.
