Lager 157 Ski Team presented their Pro Team for Season XII via a live broadcast on Facebook today.
The team strengthens with two strong Norwegian athletes: Thea Krokan Murud from Team Kaffebryggeriet and Runar Skaug Mathisen from Team Parkettpartner. In addition, IFK Mora SK’s Eddie Edström moves to long distance skiing in the black and white team.

“In recent weeks, after Elin Mohlin, Anton Karlsson, Andreas Holmberg, and Øyvind Moen Fjeld announced that they would end their careers, we have worked hard to put together a strong Pro Team. Something I really think we did,” says Lager 157 Ski Team’s Pro Team Manager Anton Järnberg.

Last year’s overall winner Emil Persson and the five-time overall winner Britta Johansson Norgren and Marcus Johansson will this year be joined by Hanna Falk, Thea Krokan Murud, Eddie Edström and Runar Skaug Mathisen.
“I am incredibly happy with the athletes we put up for season XII. We get Hanna and Eddie, who come from the traditional skiing world and also two already established long distance skiers in Runar and Thea,” says Järnberg.

Hanna Falk has for the past ten years been one of the world’s best sprinters. Thea Krokan Murud, finished Season XI as third at Årefjällsloppet.
“We all know what capacity Britta possesses, and to be able to spice it up with Hanna and Thea feels really fun and motivating. I am convinced that this will make us stronger than before,” says Järnberg.

On the men’s side, last year’s giant Emil Persson together with the Pro Team’s veteran Marcus Johansson (eighth season in the team), will be joined by Runar Skaug Mathisen (eight at Marcialonga this winter) and Eddie Edström, who now aim for his first season in the Pro Tour.
“On the men’s side, the focus has been on finding skiers who give us the qualities we need; I think we really found that in Runar and Eddie,” Järnberg concludes.
