Lager 157 Ski Team and Exsitec Ski Team announced today that they are taking a significant step in its broad initiative for the 2024/2025 season by entering into a new collaboration with Exsitec Ski Team.

According to a press release, Exsitec Ski Team will function as a recruitment team for Lager 157 Ski Team, further developing the youth initiative started ahead of the 2021/2022 season.

“This came up during the spring, and since then, we’ve been working on it and feel ready to run two teams,” says Anton Järnberg, Lager 157 Ski Team Pro Team Director, in the press release.

Exsitec Ski Team has been part of Ski Classics since the 2021/2022 season. Klas Nilsson and Einar Kalland-Olsen will continue from the previous season. Additionally, a large part of the team will consist of members from Lager 157 Ski Team’s Youth Team.

“After last season, we wanted to allow the team to take the next step and explore various options. When we found this opportunity to merge with Lager 157 Ski Team and the organization they’ve built up over many years, along with their focus on development, it felt like an obvious setup for both parties,” says Niclas Hägglund, Exsitec Ski Team Pro Team Team Director and Business Developer at Exsitec.

During the upcoming season, the organization around Lager 157 Ski Team will, therefore, operate two teams in parallel: Lager 157 Ski Team and Exsitec Ski Team. This is intended to open up further opportunities for more young skiers in long-distance skiing.

“We feel that we are ready for this task. We will be able to continue our work in developing Swedish skiing and allow more young skiers to compete in long-distance skiing at the highest level,” concludes Järnberg.

The entire team will be presented continuously throughout the fall. Still, it is already confirmed that Klas Nilsson, Einar Kalland Olsen, Ella Olsson, Elin Törnqvist, and Bruno Dettman will represent the team in Ski Classics Season XVI (2024/2025).
