This Swedish Pro Team has been around Ski Classics since 2014 and is an important part of the Pro Tour circuit. Lager 157 Ski Team secured the 2nd position in the Pro Team ranking during Season XIV and is now ready for another great winter of podiums and victories ahead.

Lager 157 Ski Team is entering its tenth season in Ski Classics and earlier this year presented its squad. Looking very similar to last season’s lineup, the only addition for Season XV is Oskar Kardin, joining from Team Ragde Charge.

“For the upcoming season, we have the same team as last year, but with one new skier, Oskar Kardin, who was recruited from Team Ragde Charge,” the Pro Team’s video teaser revealed, and you can watch below.

Lager 157 Ski Team has eight Pro Team athletes, six men and two women, ready to fight for points, podium places, colored bibs, and the overall win in the upcoming winter. For Season XV, the squad counts on experienced athletes and young guns from Sweden and Norway, seven from Sweden and one from Norway: Alvar Myhlback (2006), Linnea Johansson (2001), Marcus Johansson (1990), Runar Skaug Mathisen (1993), Oskar Kardin (1992), Nils Dahlsten (1993), Emil Persson (1995), and Karolina Hedenström (2000).

During Ski Classics Season XIV, the Pro Team won the Yellow Champion bib with Emil Persson and the Pink Youth competition with Karolina Hedenström. Now, the Swedish powerhouse is looking for more victories and podium places.

“We are the Lager 157 Ski Team from Sweden. This year we will start our 10th season with Lager 157 as our main sponsor. As a team, we strive to be the best in Ski Classics,” says Karolina Hedenström in the Pro Team’s video presentation.

Emil Persson is the team’s biggest star and one of the greatest names in Ski Classics. No other Pro Team athlete on the men’s side has ever been as victorious as Persson in the Ski Classics. There were nine victories during Season XIV, and already after his win at Vasaloppet, the Yellow Champion’s bib was secured. For the upcoming Season XV, the Ski Classics Legend remains one of the greatest favorites for the Champion bib overall.

Marcus Johansson, Runar Skaug Mathisen, Nils Dahlsten, Alvar Myhlback, and Oskar Kardin will also be part of the Lager 157 Ski Team next season, in a lineup that can be considered one of the most potent male rosters in Ski Classics.

“We had a really good season last year for the team. Quite amazing with eleven podium places, and for me, Emil Persson, the highlight was, of course, the victory at Vasaloppet,” says Emil Persson.

On the women’s side, Karolina Hedenström and Linnea Johansson also extended their contracts and will be valuable skiers for the Pro Team and in the Ski Classics scene.

Hedenström, in her first full season in Ski Classics last winter, won the Pink Youth bib and got to step on the podium at Jizerská50 with second place. In an earlier interview with ProXCskiing.com, the Swedish athlete mentioned: “I work to try to stand at the top of the podium and eventually to be the best.”

Lager 157 Ski Team skiers left a final message before the start of Ski Classics Season XV:

“Now we are doing our final preparations for Ski Classics Season XV, and hope you all follow us this winter,” and added:

“Together like a team, we will fight for more victories and podium places. Teamwork makes the dream work.”
