Lorenzo Busin, born in 1996, in is one of the most prolific Italian long distance skiers, and now he joins the Team SottoZero Trentino Zorzi Max. Last season, Busin represented Bruno Debertolis’ Team Robinson Trentino, and he took part in every race except the season opening La Diagonela in Switzerland. He managed to get solid results in and out of the top 50 club. His best race was Årefjällsloppet where he finished as the 40th fastest skier. In addition to the Pro Tour results, he won Dolomitenlauf in 2019 and finished second at the Moonlight Classic in Siusi.

Busin now joins his past rivals Mauro Brigadoi, Francesco Ferrari, Christian Lorenzi, Gabriel Koehl, Sadurni Betriu and the young Stefano Zanotto who is another new recruit in the team. The ZottoZero skiers are extremely happy to have a strong reinforcement in their ranks, and the manager of the team Sandro Pila Giacomelli believes that Busin will bring a great boost for the whole squad.

“Surely, given the characteristics and potential of Busin he will only stimulate everyone and also benefit the team in general. We mainly try to offer the boys of our Dolomite areas the opportunity to compete with the great professionals of the north and I must say that in just two years of activity, we have taken great steps forward and succeeded well. Of course, we would also like to do the same with girls, but unfortunately in Italy, there are not that many long distance specialists to choose from. But we are looking around a bit to find them.”
