LUUSUA LEAVING VLTAVA FUND SKI TEAM
Ari Luusua, Vltava fund Ski Team, finished Season XI with a third place at 100 km Årefjällsloppet.
It was the 33-year-old Finn’s best placement in the Pro Tour since he was third at the Jizerska 50 2019.
Today Luusua announces that he is leaving his Czech Pro Team.
“Now is the time to take the next step towards a new opportunity,” writes Luusua on Facebook.
“It’s time to say that I step off the team. Thanks for two years Vltava fund Skiteam for giving me the opportunity to be a long distance skier in a professional team. Every athlete and serviceman has done a lot of work for the team. Thank you all! I want to say a special thanks to Pepa and Daniel for a well-organized team. Děkuju,” Luusua writes further.
Luusua has a good season behind him, with a fifth-place at Vasaloppet next to the third place at Årefjällsloppet. He finished eighth in the Champion competition even though he has some problems with his feet after the cold start of the season in Engadin La Diagonela.
The Finn does not write anything about which Pro Team he will represent during season XII, but rumors say that it may be a team from one of the Nordic countries. So will it be a Norwegian, Swedish, or Finnish Pro Team? We will probably find out soon.
