He steps into the Swedish junior national team. However, Alvar Myhlback will still run some training camps with the Lager 157 Ski Team.

“We have agreed on a plan that we believe in. I’m happy with the outcome,” says Myhlback at a digital press conference.

On Thursday afternoon, the Swedish Ski Association announced that last season’s double junior World Champion and third place at Vasaloppet would join the Swedish junior national team:

“We have agreed on a plan that we think will work very well. I will run some training camps with the Lager 157 Ski Team and also with the (Swedish) junior national team. Plus, I will spend some time with both the A-team and Team Bauhaus. Then, I will try to participate in what I can. I will have the opportunity for a lot of camp days. There, it is important to be careful that I do not go over any limit,” says Myhlback, according to Langd.se.

The main focus for the coming winter season will be traditional cross-country skiing, but he does not close the doors to the long-distance races:

“I definitely think there will be some Ski Classics. I like it, and if I have time for it, I will definitely race. And I will do a lot of double poling in my training,” says Myhlback.
