Nordseth and Lie join Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso

Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso strengthens its Pro Team squad for Ski Classics Season XVI with two new signings. The Norwegian athletes are switching teams from Team Synnfjell.

Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso is preparing for the Ski Classics Season XVI (2024/2025). Last week, they presented Hanna Sandholt Hansen. This week, the Norwegian Pro Team announced two new additions to their squad: Karen Amalie Nordseth and Henning Lie.

Karen Amalie Nordseth

Karen Amalie Nordseth was a member of Team Synnfjell and is now heading to Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso. Her most significant achievements are 18th place at Summit 2 Senja 2023 and 19th place at the Engadin La Diagonela 2024.

A post on social media announced the signing:

“Karen Amalie Nordseth is a new skier at @teamnaeringsbankenstoraenso. Karen Amalie is 24 years old and lives in Snertingdalen in Gjøvik municipality. @kanordseth has participated in @skiclassicsofficial for two seasons for Team Synnfjell. Best results last winter were 19th place at La Diagonela and 22nd place at Marcialonga.”

During Ski Classics Season XV, Karen Amalie Nordseth started in 7 individual Pro Tour events and 1 Ski Classics Challengers. She finished the season in 46th place at the Champion competition with 313 points and 17th place at the Youth competition.

Henning Lie

Henning Lie is also joining Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso from Team Synnfjell. His best results so far in the Ski Classic Pro Tour are 29th place at Birkebeinerrennet and 32nd place at Summit 2 Senja, both during Season XV.

Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso also announced the signing on social media:

“Henning Lie from Furnes in Ringsaker has signed for @teamnaeringsbankenstoraenso. Henning has been focusing on @skiclassicsofficial for only three years and made great progress last season, with 29th place at Birkebeinerrennet and 32nd place at Summit 2 Senja as the best results.”

During Season XV, the Norwegian Pro Team athlete started in 11 individual Pro Tour events and 2 Ski Classics Challengers. He finished the season in 43rd place at the Champion competition with 305 points.

Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XVI

The Ski Classics Pro Tour Season XVI is set to captivate ski enthusiasts with its exciting lineup of events. The upcoming season, spanning 14 events across 10 event weekends in 6 different countries, promises an inspiring showcase of skill, determination, and fierce competition. 

The upcoming Season XVI kicks off in Bad Gastein, Austria, on December 13, 2024, with the Pro Team Presentation and ends in Finnsnes, Norway, with the Ski Classics Grand Finale Summit 2 Senja on March 30, 2025. Throughout the Pro Tour, Pro Team athletes will cover an impressive distance of 663 racing kilometers.
