With their victories at Marcialonga, Emil Persson, Lager 157 Ski Team, and Lina Korsgren, Team Ramudden were crowned the Visma Alp Trophy winners season XI.

Visma Alp Trophy season XI included the first three events of the season La Diagonela, Toblach-Cortina, and Marcialonga- all taking place in the Alps.

In the men’s class, Emil Persson won Visma Alp Trophy by collecting 570 champion points. La Diagonela winner Oskar Kardin, Team Ragde Eiendom, was second with 520 points, and Toblach-Cortina winner Ermil Vokuev, Russian Winter Team, third with 500 points.

Here it became crucial that Emil Persson got 300 points for the victory in Marcialonga. New for season XI is that the four Grand Classics events Marcialonga, Vasaloppet, Jizerska 50 and Birkebeinerrennet gives 300 points for a win instead of 200 points.

In the women’s class, Lina Korsgren, won Visma Alp Trophy with good margin ending at 670 points. She was second at La Diagonela and winning both Toblach-Cortina and Marcialonga. Emilie Fleten, Team Koteng, was second with 550 points. She was third in the two first races and second at Marcialonga. Ida Dahl, Team Ramudden, is third with 500 points after finishing fourth, second and third.

Visma Alp Trophy is awarding EUR 7500 each to the winners. The competition is implemented into the tour together with title partner Visma. After the next event, Jizerska 50, on February 14th, the battle starts for Visma Nordic Trophy combining the nordic events of Season XI: Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet, Reistadløpet, and Ylläs-Levi.

Stay tuned for the podcast upcoming Saturday the 6th of February where the Visma Alp Trophy winners Korsgren and Persson will be special guests. Together with host Teemu Virtanen evaluating the start of Season XI.
