Qiang and Chunxue Winners of Vasaloppet China 2023

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Vasaloppet China, took place this Wednesday with a reduced 32km long-distance ski race in classic technique in Changchun, China.

After a day full of action, blue skies, and cold wind, the Ski Classics Challengers event in China saw Wang Qiang, Chongqing Team, and Chi Chunxue, Heilongjiang Team, win the race with solid performances.

Men’s Race

In the men’s race, the winner Wang Qiang, Chongqing Team, completed the race in a time of 1:24:52.31. 

Liu Rongsheng, Heilongjiang Team, finished in second place, with a total time of 1:25:31.92, followed by Fu Yu, Heilongjiang Team, completing the podium in the third position and a total time of 1:25:51.43.

Vasaloppet China – Top 3 Men

  1. Wang Qiang, Chongqing Team, 1:24:52.31
  2. Liu Rongsheng, Heilongjiang Team, 1:25:31.92
  3. Fu Yu, Heilongjiang Team, 1:25:51.43

Women’s Race

In the women’s competition, the winner was Chi Chunxue, Heilongjiang Team, with a total time of 1:28:39.71. 

Ma Qinghua, Changchun Team, finished in second place, with a time of 1:32:02.74, followed by Chen Lingshuang, Heilongjiang Team, with a total time of 1:32:46,56 and completing the podium in the third position.

  1. Chi Chunxue, Heilongjiang Team, 1:28:39.71
  2. Ma Qinghua, Changchun Team, 1:32:02.74
  3. Chen Lingshuang, Heilongjiang Team, 1:32:46.56

On all Ski Classics Challengers events, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective gender.
