Silly Season: “A Rough Diamond That Can Take Big Steps”

Season Kati
The Finnish Pro Tour athlete had by far the best season of her career. Now the seventh place overall at the Ski Classics Champion competition Season XIV is ready for two seasons with Team Eksjöhus.

Kati Roivas had her international breakthrough during Season XIV with several top-10 finishes. She hit a career-best result in mid-January, finishing Engadin La Diagonela in fourth place.

Now, Roivas, who last season skied for Team Næringsbanken Stora Enso, has signed with Team Eksjöhus for the next two seasons:

“I am really looking forward to the opportunity to become part of such a strong team, and I will have the best possible conditions to develop as an athlete. It has been inspiring to see Magni (Smedås) so strong in her first full Ski Classics season, and I am so looking forward to working with her, Frida, and Sofie (Erkers and Elebro) and seeing where it takes us,” says Roivas in a press release.

Team Eksjöhus Pro Team Director about the contract signing with Kati Roivas:

“A rough diamond that we believe can make great steps! Fantastic to add Kati to our already strong group of women. It will be enjoyable to see how far she can go with the right conditions,” says Träldal.
