Silly Season: Pro Tour Athlete Extends Contract With Team Eksjöhus

Team Eksjöhus Frida
Team Eksjöhus continues to present their squad for the upcoming Ski Classics season. Now, seventh place at Jizerská50, who also raced at the World Cup in Davos, has signed for another season.

Team Eksjöhus has previously extended contracts to this winter’s second place overall in Ski Classics Magni Smedås and Sofie Elebro. In addition, the team has recruited one of the upcoming Pro Tour names, Kati Roivas.

Now, it is clear that Frida Erkers will continue to race for Team Eksjöhus.

The 31-year-old finished eleventh overall in this winter’s Ski Classics. She was top 10 in three Pro Tour events: seventh at Jizerská50 and eighth in Engadin La Diagonela and Reistadløpet.

There was also a World Cup start with the Swedish National Team in Davos, Switzerland, when she finished 44th place, the day after La Venosta.

“I am very happy that there will be another year with Team Eksjöhus. I look forward to doing the work to continue developing as a long-distance skier with a strong team behind me! We have built a good team with professional service and a good atmosphere in the group. I think we as a team will be able to fight at the very top next year,” says Erkers in a press release.

On the men’s side, Team Eksjöhus has presented new member Thomas Ödegaarden and contract extensions with Axel Jutterström and Eirik Sverdrup Augdal.

In addition, Team Eksjöhus has announced that Oskar Svärd will step down from the role of Pro Team Director. Read more about it here.
