Ski Classics Legend becomes a mother
On Saturday, Lina Korsgren and her husband Gustaf became parents for the first time. The Ski Classics Legend announced the news on social media.
“Our little Uno,” Korsgren wrote on her Instagram account on Sunday night.
Lina Korsgren (36) retired from competitive long-distance skiing after Ski Classics Season XII (2021/2022), by which time she had won Vasaloppet three times (2018, 2020, and 2021) and the overall victory in Ski Classics Season XI (2020/2021).

Last winter, Team Ramudden took second place in the Ski Classics Pro Team competition. The team’s Norwegian star skier Emilie Fleten won the prestigious long-distance series overall by a solid margin, as did every other bib competition (except for the Youth bib, for which she is not eligible).
The 31-year-old has been on the podium in every Ski Classics event and has won seven of them, including Vasaloppet, Marcialonga, and the nearly 100km Ski Classics Grand Finale Janteloppet in Norway. Fleten attributes much of her success to the support she has in the team, specifically Lina Korsgren as her coach and mentor.

In addition, Norwegian Amund Riege finished third in the Youth competition Season XV.
This week, the long-distance squad for the successful Swedish Pro Team will be presented. Last winter’s long-distance queen, Emilie Fleten, will continue in her third season with the team. More talents will also be on their way to Team Ramudden.
