This Austrian Pro Team has a roster that goes beyond the borders of its motherland. As a matter of fact, there are only two Pro Team athletes from Austria since the rest of the squad is German, albeit one Finn.

This Austrian Pro Team has a roster that goes beyond the borders of its motherland. As a matter of fact, there are only two Pro Team athletes from Austria since the rest of the squad is German, albeit one Finn.

In total, there are nine athletes on the team, of which four are women. Two male athletes are still in the Youth competition. This Pro Team has a long and eventful history in Nordic skiing, and the team members aim to continue their successful saga and collect more points in Season XVI.

“The Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria was established in 2015 and is based in the heart of the Austrian Alps. We are the only Austrian Pro Team, and we are one of the most successful German-speaking teams with more than 150 overall podiums in various long-distance ski races,” acknowledges Peter Kiene, the Pro Team Director.
