Stephen and Butler winners of Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate 2024

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate, took place this Sunday with a 41km long-distance skiing race in freestyle technique in Vernon, Canada. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Canada, Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate, saw Tom Stephen, Foothills Nordic, and Amanda Butler, Team Savage, winning their respective races with solid performances.

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate – 41km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, Tom Stephen of Foothills Nordic won with a total time of 1:39:00.6.

Max Hollman, Big Thunder Nordic, finished in second place, 2:39.0 back, followed by Xavier McKeever, Foothills Nordic, 2:39.1 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

  1. Tom Stephen, Foothills Nordic, 1:39:00.6
  2. Max Hollman, Big Thunder Nordic, +2:39.0

Sovereign 2 SilverStar Ski Marathon Skate – 41km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Amanda Butler, Team Savage, completed the race in a time of 1:55:24.4.

Anna Sellers, eD system Silvini Team, finished in second place, 6:03.5 behind, followed by Katya Semeniuk, Nakkertok Nordic, completing the podium in third position and 6:17.8 back.

  1. Amanda Butler, Team Savage, 1:55:24.4
  2. Anna Sellers, eD system Silvini Team, +6:03.5

As the 41km classic and skate races are Ski Classics Challengers events, Pro Team registered athletes could collect points for the Ski Classics Champion and Youth competitions in their respective genders.
