The Ski Classics Challengers event, Raiffeisen Gastein Classics, took place this Saturday afternoon with a 30km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Sportgastein, Austria. Check out the results.

The Ski Classics Challengers event, Raiffeisen Gastein Classics, took place this Saturday afternoon with a 30km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Sportgastein, Austria. Check out the results.

After a day full of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Austria, Raiffeisen Gastein Classics, saw a fierce battle for the podium places. Ultimately, Torleif Syrstad, Team Engcon, and Laura Stichling, eD system Vltava Fund Team, won their respective races with solid performances.

Raiffeisen Gastein Classics – Men’s Race

In the men’s event, the winner, Torleif Syrstad, Team Engcon, completed the race in a time of 1:11:02.1.

Riccardo Mich, Team Futura Trentino GTE Elettrica, finished in second place, 33.5 seconds behind, followed by Johannes Kuchl, WSV Skadi Bodenmais, completing the podium in third position and 2:24.7 back.

  1. Torleif Syrstad, Team Engcon, 1:11:02.1
  2. Riccardo Mich, Team Futura Trentino GTE Elettrica, +33.5

Raiffeisen Gastein Classics – Women’s Race 

In the women’s competition, the winner was Laura Stichling, eD system Vltava Fund Team, with a total time of 1:22:10.5.

Petra Tanner, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, finished in second place, 3:50.6 back, followed by Nicole Donzallaz, Ski-Willy Marathon Team Austria, 5:14.6 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.
