With only one and a half week is left until Visma Ski Classics finally kicks off with the first event in Switzerland, La Diagonela, the local Pro Team, Team BSV IBEX, is ready. They uses the home advantage and excellent snow conditions to get in good shape for the Season XI start.

At the moment, the Pro team athletes train in Davos and Engadin, the home base for most of the skiers. Two to three times a week the Pro team meets up to train together. Some are using national FIS competitions to get fast training in. Shortly before Christmas, they organized an internal test competition.

Most of the Pro team is fit and will be on the start at La Diagonela, but not all. Ilya Chernousov will compete at the national championships on the same weekend. Severin Bonolini has intense back problems since summer and Carine Heuberger got sick with Corona in the middle of November.
“However, she is on a good way back,” says Pro Team Director Markus Walser.
“There will also be a new member joining the team which has not been registered yet, we will announce it shortly,” Walser adds.

While the main focus is on the season start, Team BSV IBEX already looks further into the future. At the next events, Toblach-Cortina, Marcialonga and Jizerska 50, the whole team will be on the start line, including a known name that has just finished his career after the last season. It seems that Toni Livers cannot give up his skiing career completely and will return for the two Italian events and potentially also for the Czech event.
