This Swedish Pro Team started in 2019 as a small squad with only three athletes. For Ski Classics Season XV, the Pro Team is bigger and stronger than ever and aims to fight for podiums and bib competitions, individually and as a team.

Team Engcon is a Pro Team founded by the Ski Classics Legend and Pro Team Director Jerry Ahrlin, a former long-distance skier with great merits, with six Ski Classics wins, such as three Marcialonga victories and second place at Vasaloppet.

In anticipation of the upcoming Ski Classics Season XV, Team Engcon presented a roster of both emerging talents and experienced Pro Team athletes hailing from Sweden and Norway.

Before last winter, Team Engcon signed Ida Dahl and was very successful. After a solid season, the Pro Team athlete was crowned the overall winner in the Ski Classics Champion competition.

For Season XV, Pro Team Director Jerry Ahrlin has made a few more changes on the women’s side where Tove Ericsson and Hanna Lodin will join Dahl:

“It looks inspiring. Tove is young and offensive. She is a skier who trains hard and is very good to have on a team. She has stepped up her game during the dryland season. Then Hanna Lodin has impressed and really took steps, as expected,” says Pro Team Director Jerry Ahrlin in an earlier interview with ProXCskiing.com.

On the men’s side, alongside Eddie Edström and Anton Elvseth, the Pro Team has added a trio of Norwegians: Johan Tjelle, Amund Hoel, and Ole Jørgen Bruvoll.

“We have a very strong team and a broader line-up than last year. It looks interesting,” says Ahrlin.

For the upcoming Ski Classics Season XV, the Swedish squad is bringing eight Pro Team athletes, three women and five men: Ida Dahl (1996), Hanna Lodin (1999), Tove Ericsson (2003), Eddie Edström (1995), Anton Elvseth (1998), Johan Tjelle (1994), Amund Hoel (1997), and Ole Jørgen Bruvoll (1995).
