Team Parkettpartner Sjusjøen becomes Team Næringsbanken. The Norwegian Pro Team is looking forward to season XII with a new strong sponsor – Næringsbanken.
“With Team Næringsbanken, we continue with a new concept and with new high ambitions,” says Pro Team Director Arnt Nyborg.

“Our skiers have taken steps every year and now perform at a high level in the Pro Tour. Last season we had the top ten places in each race and we have been among the top ten in the Vasaloppet for the past four years, “says Arnt Nyborg

During Season XI, the best athlete in the Pro Team was the Swedish athlete Sofie Elebro who finished eighth in the Champion competition. She was very even throughout the winter, finishing among the top ten in all races. The best placements were 7th on both Toblach-Cortina and Marcialonga.

Sofie Elebro finished eighth in the Champion competition in Season XI.

In total, the Pro Team will now consist of about 30-35 runners and a solid support system. The team is owned by the company Langløp AS.

“With Team Næringsbanken, we continue to invest with a new concept and with new high ambitions,” says Nyborg and continues;
“We focus regionally on young athletes and mainly on local skiers. We want to create a top sports culture with a focus on cohesion and team building. We have previously had a high media focus, which we now want to reach new heights. Visma Ski-Classics will have a very high level for the upcoming season. For our skiers to be able to perform in the best possible way, we have seen it as necessary to professionalize the support system,” says Nyborg

 The new main sponsor is also pleased with the new collaboration.
“We have a common basic idea about regional affiliation and development of young talent, which means that we see this as a natural partner,” says Kristian Stener, Bank Manager at Næringsbanken.

“Not all pieces are 100 percent in place yet. But we can already reveal that we are strengthening the organization by using Ivar Stuan as an advisor. Stuan has many years of experience and is now, among other things, sports manager for the combined national team,” says Arnt Nyborg.
“In addition, the support team is strengthened by buying a new waxing truck and hiring a person responsible for waxing.”
“We will sharpen the team further during the summer,” Nyborg concludes.
