On social media, Danish Skimarathon Team unveiled the new male additions to their Pro Team roster for the upcoming Ski Classics Season XV.

Danish Skimarathon Team, the first ever Pro Team from Denmark, which secured a top 34 place overall in the Pro Team ranking during Season XIV, recently announced the signing of Emilie Heinig Hansen and Ebba Johansson, the first Danish and the first Skåne region (Sweden) female cross-country skiers, respectively, aiming to participate in Ski Classics.

Now, the Pro Team announces the addition of two new Danish athletes to their roster: Jens Hulgaard and Joachim Weel Rosbo.

Taking to Instagram, Danish Skimarathon Team shared the news about Jens Hulgaard:

“Welcome to @hulgaardjens, 4th Danish male skier on the team… and the 3rd engineer. Jens has a long CV in both cross-country skiing and biathlon that simply cannot be summed up in a short intro.

However, worth mentioning is his participation in the World Championships and several national titles.

Jens has many years of experience and technical skills that even a full-time job as head of planning cannot destroy. Jens is both a sprinter but also one with great stamina, like an all arounder.

Jens’s girlfriend is Emilie, and they will both juggle racing during winter, next to their full-time job/study.”

And in another post on Instagram, the Pro Team shared the news about Joachim Weel Rosbo:

“And a very warm welcome to @joachimrosbo. Joachim helped us out last season at @birken_no, and next season he will ski some more with the team.

Joachim’s cross-country skiing journey began at age three during Easter vacations in Geilo with his family and was significantly motivated via continuous fueling of Marabou chocolate.

Since then, Joachim has practiced xc and roller skiing in training but mainly focused on running till he was 23 years competing at several junior European Championships. Joachim shifted focus to xc skiing and biathlon for the last three years and participated in the biathlon World Championships last year in Oberhof.

Joachim is looking very much forward to trying some more long-distance races next season.

Now that makes five men and three woman total, with six Danes representing the team.”
