VÅLÅDALSRENNET AND TÅSSÅSEN CRITERIUM 64 POWERED BY VISMA TAKES PLACE THIS WEEKEND
Season XI continues with Vålådalsrennet on Saturday and Tåssåsen Criterium 64 powered by Visma on Sunday. Don’t miss out on the events available on your national TV channel and Visma Ski Classics PLAY. On Saturday, the women start at 07:45 CET, and the men start at 09:45 CET. On Sunday, the men start at 07:55 CET followed by the women at 08:00 CET.
For the first time in Visma Ski Classics history, it will be two events, back to back on Saturday and Sunday. The 54 km Vålådalsrennet has a course profile inspired by Birkebeinerrennet and has two climb points. Start and finish are at Vålådalen.
Tåssåsen Criterium 64 powered by Visma will be carried out on a two-lap course with two sprint points. Start and finish will be at Vålådalen, like the day before. The course and the profile are very different from the previous day with a flat profile.
“Right now, there are very nice conditions along both courses. The weather recently has made it possible to prepare the racecourses so we now have perfect hard tracks. Vålådalsrennet has a tough course with a lot of climbing, but at the end of the race there is a flatter section. Tåssåsen Criterium 64 powered by Visma offers a flatter course over two laps, but you should not be fooled that it is easy. There is a long section of the course where you are constantly climbing, even if it is not steep,” says Latti Östlund, responsible for the tracks in Vålådalen.
