VOKUEV MAKES AN INTERESTING START AT LA DIAGONELA
Ermil Vokuev, Russian Winter Team, will start at La Diagonela on Saturday and be an exciting challenger for the podium.
Ahead of season XI, Vokuev had said that he had the goal of being selected to the Russian team for the world championships in Oberstdorf, Germany. When he was not in the Russian team that performed so well during Tour de Ski, it will probably be difficult to reach that goal.
Vokuev, who took his first victory in Visma Ski Classics when he won La Venosta in Season X, can now be a strong candidate for podium places during Visma Ski Classics season XI.
Today came the news that he will be on the starting line on Saturday and makes his second start in La Diagonela. In 2018, he finished 12th in the race.
In addition to the victory in La Venosta season X, Vokuev has been in fourth place in Visma Ski Classics events three times: Jizerská 2017, Kaiser Maximilian Lauf 2018, and Birkebeinerrennet 2018.
