The Ski Classics Challengers event, Blåvegenløpet, took place this Sunday with a 34km long-distance skiing race in classic technique in Mo i Rana, Norway. Check out the results.

After a day of action, the Ski Classics Challengers event in Norway, Blåvegenløpet, saw Thomas Maloney Westgaard, Team Aker Dæhlie/Varden IL, and Benedicte Stien Schreiner, Skonseng UL, winning their respective races with solid performances.

Blåvegenløpet – 34km Men’s Race 

In the men’s competition, the winner was Thomas Maloney Westgaard, Team Aker Dæhlie/Varden IL, with a total time of 1:30:16.0.

Preben Horven, Bossmo & Ytteren IL, finished in second place, 1:25.0 back, followed by Vegard Veisetaune, Tverlandet IL, 3:59.0 behind the winner, and completing the podium in third place.

Blåvegenløpet Top 3 Men

  1. Thomas Maloney Westgaard, Team Aker Dæhlie/Varden IL, 1:30:16.0
  2. Preben Horven, Bossmo & Ytteren IL, +1:25.0
  3. Vegard Veisetaune, Tverlandet IL, +3:59.0

Blåvegenløpet – 34km Women’s Race

In the women’s event, the winner, Benedicte Stien Schreiner, Skonseng UL, completed the race in a time of 1:47:38.

Elise Øvereng, Mosjøen IL, finished in second place, 3:41.0 behind, followed by Mari Brox, Sømna IL, completing the podium in third position and 5:29.0 back.

  1. Benedicte Stien Schreiner, Skonseng UL, 1:47:38.0
  2. Elise Øvereng, Mosjøen IL, +3:41.0
