Moonlight Classic
The Moonlight Classic Seiser Alm is a cross-country skiing spectacle that takes place exclusively in the classic diagonal style.
It offers participants two distances: a challenging 30km long course and an “easier” 15km short course. The event kicks off at 20:00 CET, and both courses finish in Compaccio, with the route illuminated by the moonlight, guiding skiers through the alpine wilderness.
Tord Asle Gjerdalen
Ski Classics Pro Team athlete Tord Asle Gjerdalen, a true legend in the world of long-distance skiing, describes the Moonlight Classic as the “coolest race” he has ever experienced:
“Moonlight Classic is the coolest race I have ever done. With so many torches showing the way through a hard and challenging course in the magnificent Alps.”
Gjerdalen supports cross-country skiing enthusiasts to partake in this memorable event:
“It’s a race I highly recommend to anyone who is fond of cross-country skiing.”
Skiing the Enchanted High Plateau
Seiser Alm, Europe’s most extensive high plateau, is the idyllic stage for this event. Situated amid the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dolomites, participants can relish the extraordinary expanse of the high alpine pasture and revel in the beauty of landmarks like Sassolungo, Plattkofel, and Schlern.
The trails, meticulously prepared at an altitude of 1,800 to 2,200 meters, offer an unparalleled skiing experience for both recreational skiers and seasoned pros.
